Start service by filling out a Membership Application

Carroll Electric is a not-for-profit cooperative, therefore we require a $10 membership fee to join the co-op as a consumer-member. This $10 fee represents your investment in the cooperative. Any profit made this year is divided among the members, based on the amount of electricity used, and paid back to the membership on a 20-year rotation. In short, we utilize these capital credits as operating funds for the cooperative until it's time to pay them back to the members in 20 years.

The membership application must be accompanied by photo identification, the $10 membership fee, and a physical signature. For the signature, you must print out the form, sign it in black or blue ink, and either mail it to our address listed on the form, drop it off at our drive thru window, or scan the form and email it to us at info@cecpower.coop

A deposit may be required. Contact the office during regular business hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. at 1-800-232-7697.

In accordance with and in addition to the terms and conditions provided herein of this Membership & Electric Service Application and Agreement ("Application and Agreement"), Applicant hereby (1) applies to be and consents to being a member of Carroll Electric Cooperative, Inc. (the "Cooperative"), (2) applies, requests, and agrees to consume, receive, purchase or otherwise use ("Use") electric energy and/or electric distribution service ("Service") from the Cooperative at the Service Address written above, and (3) agrees to pay the Cooperative's membership fee of $10.00. 

The individual signing this Application and Agreement represents that: (a) he or she is authorized to act, contract, consent, authorize, represent, agree, grant and transfer for the listed entity. 

As set forth in the Cooperative's Code of Regulations, no entity shall become a member of the Cooperative unless and until it has been accepted for membership by the Board of Trustees or the members of the Cooperative. In addition, in connection with this Application and Agreement, the Cooperative may require a security deposit from the Applicant and also may require that the Applicant provide the Cooperative with all necessary electrical load data for the proposed Service, prior to the Board of Trustees or members accepting the Applicant for membership.
