Sarah Chronister Grubbs, District 2
Sarah and her husband, Adam, reside on a farm outside of Hammondsville, in Brush Creek Township, Jefferson County. Together they raise a commercial flock of hair sheep, turkeys for Thanksgiving, Tamworth hogs, and chickens, as well as making about 40 acres of hay.
Sarah is the Agricultural Lender for Consumers National Bank, where she has been employed for over 14 years. She is a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Carrollton and serves on the Cooperative's People for People Board.
Sarah and Adam have three sons, Sawyer, Gideon and Declan.
Education
Graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School.
Graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Agriculture.
Why are you interested in serving as a board member?
I am interested in running for the cooperative board to learn more about how the cooperative operates and the electrical industry in general. I also look forward to working with the other board members and cooperative members to make any necessary improvements to benefit the cooperative and its members.
What challenges are facing the co-op in the near future?
I believe some challenges facing the cooperative include governmental regulations and managing the rising costs of electric for cooperative members. Data centers may also create some new and difficult challenges as they are expanding into our area.
