Carroll Electric offers rebates, incentive and rental programs to assist members in becoming more energy efficient. All programs are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are reviewed on a yearly basis. Rebates periods run July 1 - June 30 unless otherwise noted, and are dependent on funding. Carroll Electric reserves the right to alter rebate programs at any time.

Residential Water Heater Rebate
Carroll Electric offers residential members a $75 to $200 rebate for replacing an existing electric water heater or installing a new one with a tank that is at least 50 gallons with a five-year, or longer, warranty. Some restrictions apply.
Residential Appliance Rebate
Carroll Electric will offer residential members a $50 rebate for the purchase of a qualifying refrigerator or freezer. This rebate is limited, so please refer to the details for further information.
Residential Heat Pump Rebate
Carroll Electric will offer residential members a $400 rebate for the purchase and installation of a qualifying heat pump. This rebate is limited, so please refer to the details for further information.
Residential Geothermal Rebate

Residential Electric Vehicle -- Level 2 Charger Rebate

Electric Vehicle Charger Rebate
Residential Load Management Program
With member permission, and at not cost to the member, Carroll Electric will install a radio-controlled load management switch on an electric water heater that is 50-gallon capacity or larger. Members receive a $2 per month bill credit for allowing switches to be installed on their water heaters.
Kill A Watt Rental Program
A Kill A Watt device is available at no cost to members for a period of 30 days to check the energy use of an appliance. The device measures the energy used by individual appliances plugged into the meter, making it easy to determine just how much an appliance is costing per day to use.
Residential Energy Audits (Currently Unavailable)
Members have the opportunity to receive a residential energy audit for $150. The audit includes a blower-door test, combustion appliance inspection (if applicable), air-quality testing, including carbon monoxide detection, and airflow testing. (Members are required to fill out the DIY Home Energy Use Walk-thru form prior to an energy audit.)
