Tuesday, September 24, 2019 is National Voter Registration Day!
What is National Voter Registration Day?
Every year millions of Americans find themselves unable to vote because they miss a registration deadline, don't update their registration, or aren't sure how to register. National Voter Registration Day seeks to help eligible voters across the country participate in our democratic process.
On National Voter Registration Day, volunteers and organizations from all over the country will "hit the streets" in a single day of coordinated field, technology, and media efforts to create broad awareness of voter registration opportunities and reach voters who may not register otherwise.
National Voter Registration Day has been endorsed by the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS). It is further supported by the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED). Every year, thousands of partners - businesses, nonprofits, universities, election offices, and more - help make the holiday a success.
First celebrated in 2012, National Voter Registration Day is held on the fourth Tuesday of September. In 2019, National Voter Registration Day will be observed on Tuesday, September 24th.
How to register?
One easy way to register is done by clicking the Register Now button below and it will take you to Vote.coop. Co-ops Vote is a non-partisan project of America's Electric Cooperatives designed to inform its members on the key issues facing electric co-ops and encourage them to vote and support their co-ops and the communities they serve when they go to the polls. We do not endorse or recommend any candidates for election.
September 24th is the national registration day, but people can register to vote through October 7th for the November 5th general election.
