Your title as member is what makes an electric cooperative different from other companies. We are members serving members.
Carroll Electric Cooperative, Inc. provides residential electric service to portions of Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, Stark and Tuscarawas counties in Northeast Ohio. As a not-for-profit cooperative, owned by more than 10,000 member-consumers, we're committed to providing reliable and affordable energy. Founded in 1937 to electrify rural areas, we maintain over 1,480 miles of power lines.
Carroll Electric is governed by a board of nine trustees who are residential members of the cooperative and who represent specific districts within our service territory. Trustees follow the Carroll Electric Code of Regulations to set policy for the cooperative while adhering to four key cooperative values: accountability, integrity, innovation and commitment to community.
As a member and owner of our cooperative, you have a voice in the cooperative tha enables you to vote on proposals and directors at Carroll Electric's annual meeting each year.

You'll receive a complimentary subscription of Ohio Cooperative Living magazine, which contains four to 12 pages each month of local Carroll Electric news. This magazine serves as our most prominent form of communication with our members, so be sure to scan the Carroll Electric pages to keep up to date on the latest co-op information.
As a member you are also eligible for various energy efficiency programs, rebates and initiatives, and you'll also have access to a local energy advisor, who can help you with your energy-related questions or concerns. In addition, Carroll Electric offers youth opportunities, including scholarships, Youth Tour and educational activities.
